Terms and conditions

Stardist sells products to retailers intended for resale to consumers. Stardist’s resellers must meet Stardist’s reseller conditions to become a customer and place orders. 

 

VAT 

For retailers within the EU, a VAT number is required to register as a customer and to purchase VAT-free. If a VAT number turns out to be invalid, Stardist will add VAT to the invoice. 

For customers outside the EU, all purchases are VAT-free.  

 

Terms of sale 

There is no minimum order limit. A shipping fee is added and will be included on the invoice. 

 

Customs 

When goods are delivered outside of the EU, the sender’s customs duty is added and will be included on the invoice. The customer will pay receiving goods customs duty separately to their local customs office. 

 

Cancellation 

Ordered goods that Stardist has brought home specifically for the customer cannot be canceled, but stock goods can be canceled if picking has not started. 

 

Payment terms 

Customers will normally need to pay for orders including shipping and any other charges in advance by credit card.  

 

For those with credit approval, 30 days within the credit limit can normally apply. In the event of late payment, a reminder fee is paid in the amount that is allowed according to the current law.  

 

Delivery times 

Stardist works partly as a wholesaler and partly as a distributor. As a wholesaler, we offer an assortment of approximately two million titles that we can take home to order, while we distribute warehouse products from roughly a thousand publishers and producers. 

Products shown on this site are available for immediate delivery. For customers with credit approval, we also offer the service of back ordering our wholesaler products. From the wholesaler, the delivery time varies. 

 

Customers have the option to give us instructions on delivery. Among the most commonly chosen options are delivery on a special weekday, always immediately, and an order value of at least EUR 100.  

 

Prices 

Stardist reserves the right to adjust prices without notice. Prices are always stated excluding VAT. Any recommendation on consumer price stated on any product or on this site should only be seen as indicative. The customer is free to set any price on any product to their own customers.  

 

Errors in content 

Stardist reserves the right to at any time correct any wrongful information on this site about prices, the number of products in stock, or other content. If an order has been placed based on wrongful information, Stardist might cancel the order and any advanced payment will be returned to the customer.  

 

Changes to the site and these terms and conditions 

This site and these terms may be changed by Stardist with or without notice. Please review this link on a regular basis for changes. The customers continued use of this site following any change constitutes their acceptance of the change. 

 

Shipping method 

Customers have the option to choose a shipping method among Stardist’s shipping partners or to organize their own shipping. If no choice has been made by the customer, Stardist will choose the method which is most beneficial for the customer when the order is placed.  

 

Shipping charges 

Shipping is charged according to the weight that is the highest – the actual weight or the volumetric weight according to the freight companies’ terms.  

 

Shipping damage 

If the customer receives a damaged box, they need to point this out to the deliverer and assure that they make a note about it while receiving and before signing. Then check if any items have been damaged. Save the outer packaging if it is damaged. Try to assess the cause of the damage and produce photo documentation. Contact Stardist and describe the damage and your conclusions.  

 

Complaints about externally visible defects must reach Stardist no later than 8 days after receiving the goods.  

 

Other damages 

In case of printing errors or damage to the insert of products, contact Stardist for information on how to proceed. 

 

Complaints and returns 

If anything is wrongly delivered and should be returned, please contact Stardist for information and a possible shipping label.
