What would happen if you went through a Near death experience, but didn't recognise it? Near death experiences are very often presented to readers as a dramatic and astonishing series of events, usually accompanied by deep insights and profound wisdom. Yet when we read such reports we are often left saying “nothing like that ever happened to me”. So it can be hard to relate to those experiences. This book suggests that NDEs are more frequent than we think and sometimes so under-stated that we fail to recognise them. Only by recognising the event can we draw out its lessons and the most important of these is Gratitude. When once we see what has happened, and how fortunate we are to be alive, we notice that we have been opened up in five key areas of awareness – and our lives can change. Gratitude, Humility, Beauty, Innocence and a sense of our place in the world flow from this key recognition. These five key insights are interlinked, like the points of a star, each supporting the others, each adding value to the others, each asking us to consider the role of love in our lives.
